The Full Story

As a designer, I had the opportunity to create a landing page for Walmart to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month. In designing this page, I took great care to consider the audience and cultural sensibilities that would be involved in the celebration of this important month.

My first priority was to ensure that the page was inclusive and welcoming to all members of the AAPI community, as well as to those who were not familiar with the culture but interested in learning more. To achieve this, I incorporated a mix of visuals and text that reflected the diversity and richness of AAPI cultures, from traditional dress and art to modern cultural icons.

To further ensure that the page was culturally sensitive, I consulted with members of the AAPI community to ensure that my design choices were respectful and accurate. This feedback was invaluable in guiding my design choices and ensuring that the page was authentic and appropriate for the audience.

In terms of design, I incorporated a clean and modern aesthetic that was both visually appealing and easy to navigate. I used a color palette that reflected the vibrancy and warmth of AAPI cultures, while also keeping in mind the accessibility needs of all users.
